Foundations of Statistics for Ecology and Evolution
Andrés, the team, and Sara Calhim teach this yearly guest course at the University of Jyväskylä
The objective of the course is to provide a solid conceptual foundation and basic technical skills for the use of statistical modeling in ecological and evolutionary research. It does not seek to be exhaustive of all techniques, nor intensive in any given one. Rather, its focus is on providing the tools and concepts for the critical evaluation, choice, interpretation and further independent learning of the statistical tools needed for research. The course uses R as the main tool for practicals.
Below you can download the main lectures of the course.
Matthieu taught this course at the University of Jyväskylä in November 2016. The course aims at exposing students and young researchers to the ideas and practices of reproducible and open science. The course presents the key concepts of Open Science and will also have a strong practical component emphasizing how to improve a researcher's daily data management and analysis workflow, and will show how some basic good practices can facilitate the implementation of openness.

GLM for Evolutionary Ecologists
Andrés, and Matthieu taught in this intensive one-week course organized by Tom Van Dooren and together with colleagues at Université Pierre et Marie Curie, and the Ecole Normale Superiéure. This is a graduate-level course focused on the analysis of data on individual life histories. It will take place in November 20-24th 2017 at the Ecotron in Foljuif, France.
